XOS’ advanced optics and OEM sub-systems can increase precision, speed, and spatial resolution, while decreasing the size, complexity, and cost of the instrument.
Microworks GmbH was founded in 2007 as a spin-off from the Institute of Microstructure Technology (IMT) at the Karlsuhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany. It serves with high-precision microstructures made with X-ray and laser LIGA technology. The core competence in the micro-nano structure field is X-ray lithography which allows the highest aspect ratios and a precision well below 1µm within a wafer and from wafer to wafer. Possible applications range from gratings for phase contrast imaging, watch parts, micro-gear trains, hyperbolic electrodes, alignment fixtures, clip connectors, precision sieves, near-IR filters (frequency-selective filters), micro-springs, RF-MEMS, etc.
greateyes develops, manufactures and markets high-performance scientific cameras. They are used as precise detectors in a wide range of imaging and spectroscopy applications. Furthermore the company manufactures electroluminescence and photoluminescence inspection systems for the solar industry.
greateyes was founded in year 2008 as a spin-off from Humboldt-University Berlin and then quickly developed to an international acting company. Today it has strong customers in research and industry from many different countries.
Our passion is the continous advancement of our unique camera technology and associated products. Our central goals are satisfied customers, innovation and good team spirit.
Advacam designs, manufactures and sells digital material resolving color X-ray imaging cameras for non-destructive inspection in oil and gas, aerospace and electronics industries. In these industries, high quality lightweight materials are the key construction elements for modern vehicles or lighter devices. Inspection and quality assurance for defects, impurities or cracks in these materials is therefore important. With Advacam’s cameras challenging defects such as deep laminate wrinkles, kissing-bonds, delaminations, porosity, foreign objects and micro-cracks in the soft materials can be detected with spatial resolution of 55 µm or better.
Mass Spectrometry Instruments Ltd ( MSI ) specializes in high performance magnetic sector double focusing mass spectrometer Instruments. It has inherited the technology from Kratos Analytical who were the pioneer in introducing the commercial sector mass spectrometers way back in 1957. Since then the advancement of the technology and need for high precision, high resolution instruments has risen exponentially.
Mass Spectrometry Instruments is now based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, UK, having moved from Altrincham in late 2005. The unique combination of our diverse but highly skilled workforce results in a focused company dedicated to high resolution mass spectrometer design and manufacture. It has achieved a high quality product being an ISO 9001 certified company.
optiX fab GmbH was founded as a Fraunhofer IOF spin-off on August 1st, 2013.
Located in Jena, the City of Light, optiX fab designs, develops and fabricates EUV illumination and collector optics and coats EUV imaging optics.
optiX fab is currently supplying chipmakers, EUV tool and source manufacturers as well as institutes, universities, synchrotron beamlines and EUV research consortia worldwide with customized multilayer and grazing incidence optics for EUV lithography applications at 13.5 nm and the entire XUV and soft X-ray spectral range from 1 to 100 nm (10 eV to 1 keV).

In 2008, Rigaku Innovative Technologies Europe s.r.o. (RITE) became part of the Rigaku Corporation. Originally a research & development facility, RITE now implements cutting edge technologies in the ray tracing, design, manufacturing and testing of “super smooth“ X-ray optics for XUV and X-ray radiation. The technological combination of extremely smooth optical surfaces and system building techniques allows for metal replication technologies such as Au, Ni, Rh and many more. RITE also manufactures rotationally symmetric, aspheric X-ray optics for standard and custom designs which can be rapidly developed and manufactured in any quality, for virtually any application, in XUV and X-ray radiation. In addition, RITE has developed and manufactures CCD and sCMOS X-ray imaging detectors both of which contain the highest spatial resolution commercially available. They are called the XSight™ LC and XSight™ FC detectors.
A spin-off from the University of Waterloo, KA Imaging is a company that specializes in developing innovative X-ray imaging technologies and systems, providing solutions to the medical, veterinary, and non-destructive test industrial markets.
